A fine street, its straight course and delineated architecture is indicative of Haussmannian origin. Le Delly’s Café is halfway down or possibly halfway up Rue des Deux Gares. A motorcyclist roars past. Everyone is going somewhere except us, for this moment in time. Then we’ll get up and head north, turn left, and disappear into the crowd, just other people on the go.
